Important letter !
You have been identified as a parent/guardian eligible to receive free childcare in our schools due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
During the Easter holidays, the Isle of Anglesey County Council’s Learning Service has been working with schools to ensure that the current emergency care provision can be maintained. At present, our school workforce have ensured that there are 26 centres open Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm for those children who cannot be cared for at home.
However, should the number of people affected by the pandemic grow over coming weeks, we will see increasing demands on critical workers. Childcare provision therefore may be in even greater demand. Anglesey’s workforce is ready to support you during this time, and we are looking into further extending the hours of our childcare offer and provision over the weekends. Every child who can be safely cared for at home should be cared for at home, even children of critical workers. Where there is no safe alternative, provision is available in schools or other settings for children of critical workers. To inform this process we are eager to better understand the potential demand.
Please indicate below whether you would be interested in accessing extended childcare provision if you are unable to make your own care arrangements for your children at home:[ ] pre-8am (from 7am) [ ] on Saturday; [ ] on Sunday; [ ] after 5pm (until 7pm)
Finally, please note below what care provision you would likely need during the week, along with the number of children attending the provision on each day, during each period.
Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday
The information you submit will assist us in deciding whether to extend childcare over the next few weeks and, if so, where to locate the centres (note that this may not necessarily be at your child’s usual school).
You are asked to provide this information to the school by 12pm on 20.4.20
